What's new in 1st Clock 4: Miscellaneous enhancements

Check miscellaneous enhancements in 1st Clock 4.0:

  • No more lost clock windows. Now if you click the clock, it first checks whether you have any open 1st Clock windows (alarm edit, options etc.) in the background, and brings them to front.
  • Improved support for multiple monitors.
  • Check for updates made easier. With the new Help|Check for updates... menu item, you can check if an update to your version of 1st Clock is available by visiting a special section of 1st Clock web site.
  • Minimum system requirements has been changed - Windows 95 and Windows NT4 are no longer supported.
  • Double-clicking the clock behaviour enhanced. We made double-click detection more reliable in 1st Clock 4. More important, we added the option Do not execute left-click action, when you double-click in the Clock Options|Mouse.

If this option is turned on, then 1st Clock will execute left-click action when you single click it and double-click action when you double-click. However you will experience a small delay on the left-click action.

If this option is turned off, then 1st Clock immediately executes left-click action on a single or double click and additionally executes double-click action if you double-click. In this case, you won't experience any delays before the left-click action execution.
  • All drop-down calendars in 1st Clock now use the first day of week set for the main 1st Clock calendar.
  • Keyboard shortcuts has been changed, to conform the new Windows Vista keyboard shortcuts.

New default keyboard shortcut to add a reminder that will run tomorrow is changed from Win+T to Win+Ctrl+T.

The shortcut to add a new reminder that will run in 5 minutes from now is changed from Win+5 to Win+Shift+5.
  • The clock application icon has been changed. If you prefer the old icon, then you can pick it for the 1st Clock shortcut using the Change icon... command in the Windows Shortcut Properties dialog.
